FDA Authorizes Pfizer’s Covid Vaccine for Kids Ages 5 to 11

The FDA had gone ahead and done a big thing. It had now authorized the Pfizer vaccine for kids between the ages of 5 and 11. This is indeed some of the best news that we have heard all week. The children needed the vaccine for the coronavirus, and many people and parents have been waiting for this vaccine approval for a long time.

Now that it had been approved by the FDA, the start of the distribution and administration of the shots might start soon too. This is indeed very good news. This makes the vaccine available for the 28 million children in the United States of America.

The FDA needs to sign off before the shots are distributed, so that’s why there is a waiting period still going on, but they have scheduled an advisory Committee along with the approval staff to sign off, and it should be cleared soon.

They are working hard, and hopefully the things will be cleared soon, and the shots will be ready to be administered by the health officials to the children. All the parents are heaving sighs of relief because before this, the kid had no protection against the coronavirus, and now at least, they have the first line of defense.

“As an active mother and a working physician, I know very well that all the parents, caregivers, school staff, and children have all been waiting for today’s authorization. This is what we all have been waiting for. Vaccinating all of the young children against COVID-19 will be a step ahead, and it will bring us closer to returning to a sense of normalcy,” said Dr. Janet Woodcock said in a statement. She is the acting FDA commissioner.

Here is to hoping that everything goes smoothly. We have to work together to make the vaccine available for the kids as soon as possible. This is all the information that we have regarding the kid’s vaccine for now. We will keep you updated if we have any further news about it. Till then, take care of yourselves and the children!
