Ecstasy Can Help People With PTSD, Study Says

Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) is now a therapy that has been able to aid people who are in a tough place, and they are with severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This is all according to the researcher that had done this.

It is in a very updated study which had been done and first published in May is found and formed in the journal which is called the Nature Medicine, yes that is the name of the book. This had been said with the authors from New York University, UC San Francisco.

Ecstasy Can Help People With PTSD, Study Says

Now all of those patients that are seen with severe PTSD – are some of the ones that can be including common comorbidities in their bodies– they are the ones who were given in three doses of MDMA, this is popularly known as the or “ecstasy,”. This had been administered to them over a time period of a few weeks.

The people had tracked PTSD symptoms, or rather the researchers, we must say. They are the ones that can be very well seen in many people. The suicidal symptoms had also been accounted for in the study.

One hundred thirty-one patients are the ones who were enrolled in the study, out of the total number of students, we have 91 who were confirmed in the study for randomization across the U.S., Canada, and Israel, and out of all this, 56 people were randomized to MDMA and the rest of the people who were the number of 44 received placebo.

“These data indicate that, compared with manualized therapy with inactive placebo, MDMA-assisted therapy is highly efficacious in individuals with severe PTSD, and treatment is safe and well-tolerated, even in those with comorbidities,” they wrote in the research paper and as a statement. “We conclude that MDMA-assisted therapy represents a potential breakthrough treatment that merits expedited clinical evaluation.”

That is all that we have for now.
