Step 1: To start with this method, open your device’s file explorer.
Step 2: Now select this PC for Windows 10 and my computer for Windows 7.
Step 3: Now type C:\Program files(x86)\Spybot-search &destroy 2 in the address bar above.
Step 4: Search (locate) the file named dll. In case you are not able to find the file then you can visit here to download it.
Step 5: Locate the downloaded file.
Step 6: After locating, right-click on the file and select ‘copy’.
Step 7: Now go back to Spybot– search and destroy 2 folders by repeating ‘c.’
Step 8: Next, right-click on this folder and select paste.
Step 9: If you already have a DLL file, then you need to check the size of the file.
Step 10: To do so, right-click on the file and select Properties.
Step 11: Check whether the size of the file is. If it’s not, then you can click here to download the 32KB DLL file.
Step 12: Now repeat the steps from 5 to 8, and after you click to paste, select replace the file in the destination.
As this method might look complex, try every step carefully. If this also doesn’t work, then without any doubt, jump to the last method, which will surely fix the error.
Method 2 – Run the Patch
This method is a fundamental and easy one. This method works only if the problem is not that complex.
Step 1: First, check the version of the operating system (OS) in your device.
Step 2: To check the version, press Win + R, and a run box will open immediately.
Step 3: Then type winver and press enter.
Step 4: Now, according to the operating system’s architecture, which your device has, download and run the fixed patch. There are 2 different types of patches available:

Method 3 – Remove and Reinstall
This method is the preferable one, as uninstalling the software removes the problem related to it. And installing it back gives you a fresh new software without any errors. Step 1: First, right-click on the Start Menu.
Step 2: Then, select Apps and Features from the list.
Step 3: Now, you’ll find the Bitdefender app on the right side of the panel.
Step 4: Double click on the app.
Step 5: Click on Uninstall and follow the prompts to uninstall the software entirely.
Step 6: Now go to Google and download the software once again from its official website.
