Method 1 – Run SFC scan

Step 1: Type start and search for cmd.

Step 2: Right-click on cmd and click on the Run As Administrator.

Method 2 – Delete the Update and Redownload It

Step 1: Hold the Shift key and press the restart button in the Windows start menu. This shall let the trouble-shooter pop up when the system restarts.

Step 3: Once the system reboots, press the F4 key and select enable safe mode.

Step 4: Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, you’ll find the downloaded files in this location. Delete all.

Step 5: Reboot in normal mode. Go to setting, followed by update and security. Select the check for updates option and run the update process again.
